The heat barely had enough in the tank to hold off the Bulls in Game 3. After four days of rest, the Heat got it thru their head to wear down Chicago thru rebounding, and some decent D. The problem is that with the lack of a bench, the Heat can not sustain this pace with only one days rest.
Meanwhile the Bulls had to go with the virtual bagel from Noah. Back to back no shows.....Deng was not aggressive enough. Boozer was the man and it still was not enough.
Adjustments to be made.....Chicago must rely on their bench depth. Gibson came with fire...the rest of the bench along with Noah no showed. At the very least burn the bench with hard fouls on the heat. Pound the ball inside and get the fouls. One of the factors that propel the Heat is free throw differential...Chicago must close the gap in this area.
Adjustments for Miami.....recognize that this thin team can not put up the energy that they did in game 3. Anthony has to pound the glass. Haslem needs more minutes.. Miller needs to park on the three point line and chuck four shots. If he makes two or more..ride the hot shooter..if not get him out. Miami needs hot shooting from Miller and Bibby to counter the lesser energy this team will come out with.
