what is the most important stat when you compare nhl goalies?
Thomas has twice as many minutes though. I believe Thomas is better regardless of stats.

If you are looking at JUST goalies, Sv% isn't bad to look at but if you are using that as a tool for trying to cap games sv% can be deceptive because some teams allow so many more shots.
GAA to me is a better tool, but goalies are so up and down I generally disregard how a goalie has done over the whole season and look at maybe their last 5 outings. Goalies for the most part are very streaky.

Pico,
You also have to look at other things such as who the goalie is playing. Some goalies love the be peppered with shots, while others like to be more involved and play the puck as a 3rd DMan. Often times a goalie gets fired up when playing in their home province or former team(s), coach etc.
There are so many factors when capping NHL games and looking at who is starting.
