You can be a reasonable winner with very little effort. If you want to do it for a living then it takes a bit more time.

Back when I bet more significant money it funded my casino trips, trips to see friends, expensive dinners, etc. Now I am going to use my more modest winnings for a new keyboard (piano) and more traveling.

I consider gambling an an entertainment expense (much like golf), so the act is what I enjoy, so if I happen to win something at the end....it is bonus.
