    Books got hammered today
Pats over, Pats, Pats 2H over, Pats 2H, every teaser with the over in that game, Seattle over, Seattle teasers, Spurs spread, Warriors spread/ML, Warriors over, Knicks....

Just an across-the-board massacre. Thunder would finish basically a perfect day for the public.

SEA ML lost, and most everyone lost with ATL spread. I bet most pats teasers also involved Denver and those got busted yesterday. Books had a solid day today.

The SEA/ATL game was pretty much split both side and ML.

Agree that the Denver loss was big yesterday, but I don't know how you could say they had a solid day today.

I would think the teasers did a job on them.

I would think everyone and their mother played a Pats/over tease. To lose that and both the Pats and over SU as well....

You would have to consult with a book representative to be sure, but I'd be willing to bet the Pats side and Pats over were the top spread and total of the four NFL games this weekend volume-wise.

When all teasers win it's a bad day for books. Either way you teased won becuase no one teased any unders for sure after yesterday.

The books made out like bandits today.

They managed to middle everyone in the Atlanta game. Totally cleaned up, wiped out the public.

Again, the side and ML were virtually split on that game. If you can show otherwise, I'd like to see it. I'm not saying it was exactly 50/50, but I doubt it made much difference -- especially compared to the Pats/over.

Your forgetting all the Denver backers who chased dogs today and Den/Ne parlays. The massive dog day in the Nba Monday, yesterday, and college basketsball it's all a revolving door except they are collecting The Vig.

LOL if you think there was a clear-cut public side in that game -- either spread or ML.

I guess that any teaser that made it thru to today likely won. So you are probably right, but I just doubt that that many actually hurt them today.

Lots of college bball, NBA, public sides aren't nearly as costly/profitable to books as they are in the NFL.

I think we can all agree that New England covering and that game going over wasn't good for the books.

There is absolutely no doubt about that. 19 times out of 20 the public is on NE and the over in their games, especially at home.

                                  What?

I would venture to guess a lot of people had Seattle ML, and Atlanta minus the points. When these small numbered games land in the middle, bookmakers rejoice worldwide.

From every site I looked at (Vegas Insider, Sportsbook.ag, freesportsbet.com, etc.), the ML was 55/45 on Seattle and the side was about 55/45 on Atlanta. I'm not saying the books didn't middle the public there, but it's not like it was 70/30 and 30/70.

it is one day, if you bet every favorite on the ML yesterday for 1 unit you would of lost about 120 units

I haven't seen the numbers but it's really surprising to me that the ML didn't have a greater discrepancy at a line of 2.5

Anytime when the games goes high, books will get killed. Denver and ATL was about even on the public, slightly more on the Packers. The Patriots, the most squares team probably clean house on the books.

I'd imagine they got absolutely drilled today because of the totals and because of teasers. They probably gave back a lot of their winnings from yesterday.

Business as usual in nba however the uglies always retreive their $ on Monday nights ecs with the early games ... trust me! I have had a theory on this once I noticed the trend last spring. NBA players are lazy as fukk and live for the spotlight. Sunday faves ecs. the home squads usually cover.... bigger crowds, more tv exposure (after football anyway) etc. On Monday just the opposite and the ugly home dogs usually cover and even win s/u. Same trend was happening in bases this past year for a good stretch of the season. Compared to football with the small schedule , playing once a week and EVERY game truly matters. These other sports with the long seasons and playing 4/5 days a week tend to take nights off. And Sunday/Monday seems to always be a good 2 night link for these trends to occur. So love your dogs tommorow ecs. in the EARLY set of games it seems the last couple on these nights are always wildcards.
