Jim Gilliam, James Harris, Doug Williams, all black QB's from the 70's. Warren Moon, Jeff Blake, Vince Evans, were starting QB's in the 80's. And there were plenty more.

QB's all ran a lot in the 30's and 40's, but players made less than 10k a year back then. By the 70's, QB's would get killed if they ran, so it was mostly pocket passers, except guys like Bobby Douglass, who was probably the best running QB there was before this recent crop.

Douglass ran like a gazelle and had a canon for an arm. Trouble was he couldn't remember plays or formations, and was a terrible QB.
