Everyone is on the Vikes. Understandable reasons but it just has the makings of one of those weird NFC Norris games. I think the Bears cover the 5

Vikings win by double digits tonight... The Vikes run D will shut down Forte and AP always has huge games against Chicago! I look for the Vikings to win by atleast 10!

What's your reasoning for the over? Just curious... (And ready to shoot you down with a sniper rifle when you post your flimsy analysis).

Both teams have weak run defenses right now. Chi has a pretty good Rb in Forte and Minn has Peterson who can be unstoppable. Neither QB will outright win you a game, but they can both be productive and account for 2-3 scores combined. You combine that with Devin Hester's kick return ability (albeit pretty tame this year) and you have the recipe for a lot of points.

you know Hester isn't doing PR anymore right?
Cuz he's too involved in the offense now... not sure about KR... thats what they said a couple weeks ago..who knows if that changed.

I'm thinking that OU is playing Mizzou in the Big XII championship and UT beat both teams by double digits. Don't worry, I'm hanging in there. I lost faith in the BCS long ago...

as for the BCS, it's a f'in complete joke. though i think OU would beat TX if they played this coming week.

In a perfect world, OU would play UT for the Big XII championship. There are a lot of "if" scenarios that would play out differently if timing were different... Florida wouldn't have lost to Ole Miss at home, Oregon State wouldn't have lost to USC, et al. The fact of the matter is that the BCS has become a late season popularity contest and nothing more. I have no problem with UT going to the Fiesta to play Boise or Ohio State, but I do have a problem with a team we beat, h2h, on a neutral field, by coming back from large deficits and beating them by 10, getting a chance to play for a national title when the two teams that were under the microscope were UT and OU. If tech would have lost by 14 at Norman, then they'd have a say in things, but they lost by 40+. They should have lost to Baylor but managed to pull out a 7 point win.
Look, UT had a chance to control their destiny and lost to Tech in what was certainly the worst game they played on both sides of the ball. Blake Gideon dropped a sure-INT to keep that last TT drive alive and Crabtree made an amazing play to win it. i take nothing away from Tech there. But... When the decision is clearly down to OU and UT and UT beat OU by 10 (as a TD dog) on a neutral field, and also beat the North winner like a rented mule (something OK can't claim), then I think common sense should prevail. If we're only concerned about the "hot" teams at the end of the season, then why in the f&ck would anyone even play games before November?
And with all that angst laid out, I'm perfectly comfortable watching the Big XII championship next week and thinking about how great it felt to beat both of those teams... Yeah, that dropped INT against Tech will weigh heavily on my mind, but that was a freshman safety making a freshman error. He didn't want to end our season, but he did. Sh!t happens... if OU makes it, I'll root for them so that I can take satiisfaction in knowing that my team beat the national champ on a neutral field, by double digits, as a TD underdog.
Good luck on the over. I'd have listed the "fast track" as a reason why the total was inflated. I'd have also said that the Minny defense (with both Williams's facing possible suspensions next week) was a top-5 rushing d and with two offenses geared towards the run, the under would be the play. As it stands, we have a 99 yard Berrian TD and a long Hester TD that would tend to validate your "fast track" argument... I bet the over of 3.5 FG's (combined) in addition to the Bears and the Under. May very well be 0-3 on those.

i bet the o 3.5 fgs as well (have done pretty well w/that this season).. looks like we'll lose that one.
the over is looking good as i figured (i have o 43 and also over 35.5 tease).
also have minn -4 and minn moneyline.
as far as the college stuff, i actually do feel sorry for Texas; either way, someone was going to end up getting f'd. the BCS is total CR*P and is completely driven by money and politics. IMO, the top 5 teams are, in this order bama (since they haven't lost), then florida (i think florida will beat bama this weekend), then tex and oklahoma (virtual tie if there was such a thing), then USC. either way, once again, we're NOT going to see the top 2 teams in the nation in the "BCS champ game." sad stuff. Texas will probably beat the living cr*p out of whoever they play in the fiesta or whatever bowl they end up in, and i'll be rooting for them as it's F'D for anyone to get screwed.

Besides Baltimore, Minny was the easiest play on the board today, IMO... I mean, Chicago shuts down Peterson for the majority of his carries, but he always breaks one or two like he did tonight... Orton looked like shit as well!
