#2you do know that Brady needed the tuck rule to be called in his favor to save his ass from losing his first ever playoff game because of HIM TURNING THE BALL OVER himself. then he also needed not 1, but 2 miracle kicks from Vinny to move on.
you do KNOW, don't you... that Tommy boy wasn't even the QB in the AFCCG that year. He got hurt very early on...awe... and his backup won the game then got passed over for the SB. Tommy didn't even have to win 2 games to get to his first Super Bowl, how lucky can you get?
you did not post his stats for the Super Bowl vs the Rams, because they suck and are pitiful. Warner sucked for 85% of the game and the Pats were allowed to molest the Rams and they got a pick 6 off Warner on a play when slammed Warner with helmet to helmet contact, yet no flag from the officials, ya know... this was 2001 and the NFL wanted this Pat underdog team to win. Warner the amazing story he had to get to the NFL, was already used up 2 years prior in the 99 SB vs the Titans. NFL was ready to move on to Brady.
That is why, on that final drive... when Brady threw away a pass that should have been called intentional grounding, nothing was called by the officials... no flag. they just ignored it.

#6This game is really going to hurt Manning legacy, unless he take Denver to the Super Bowl in 2014. I doubt people will remember his last pick. The play everyone will remember is the blunder covering the Denver defense did despite playing full prevent to give up a 70 yard TD. That was unbelievable beyond unconscionable imagine.Comment -

#7anything i say factually wrong?
go youtube Warner's pick 6 in the Super Bowl
go youtube the last 1:30 of the game and to go the Pats first down @ their own 40 with 33 seconds left in the game. very first play on first and 10, intentional grounding
no flag, no flag, fact and fact
go take a massive dump and then shove your face in it palComment -

#8GO TO 3:00 mark in this video to watch the play
Go to exactly 3:26 in this video and PAUSE IT. Brady at the snap was on the left hash mark, which is why he didn't have enough time to get outside of the pocket.
Does this video prove that Tom Brady should have been called for intentional grounding as he was not OUTSIDE OF THE POCKET when he was immediately pressured and just flung the ball out of bounds, no where near any potential WR?
The answer is easy, YES. Should have been flagged.
Would have left them with 2nd down and 20, back at their own 30 with 29 seconds to go.

Intentional grounding will not be called when a passer, while out of the pocket and facing an imminent loss of yardage, throws a pass that lands at or beyond the line of scrimmage, even if no offensive player(s) have a realistic chance to catch the ball (including if the ball lands out of bounds over the sideline or end line).
I am absolutely correct on this.Comment -

#13Manning most over rated QB ever maybe. Other than Joe Namath.
Good fabtasy football guy but not someone you want under center if you need to win play off games.
Like I said he is probably the 4th best Manning QB, had his other brother not been hurt he would have proven it out more than likely. Eli head and shoulders above Peyton in terms of clutch when it matters.Comment -

#14Brady had almost 3x the time that Manning had. This is a waste of time thread for that reason alone. You think Denver wouldve started taking knees if they had 1:21 left on the clock, instead of :31?Comment -

Funny that you bring up the tuck rule, when it was the correct call of a bad rule... one that had been called against the Pats earlier that same season. You also ignore Woodson hitting Brady in the head on that play, which should have been a 15 yard penalty for the Pats.
Must suck that your loverboy Manning can't ever get it done in the playoffs, huh?Comment -

#22No, you aren't. The right tackle was lined up a few feet inside the right hash. Brady releases the ball about a foot inside the right hash... from the angles shown, Brady was at the very least behind his RT and from the looks of it just to the right of the RT. That is far from "easily intentional grounding"

I felt bad for him yesterday and I would have had a big winning day if the Bronco's won, but I am a Colts fan.
And can't get it done, there is a little something about the biggest comeback in AFCCG history, 18 points. That was Manning, getting it done vs Brady none the less, to go to the Super Bowl. Brady is a mere 4-5 since then, Peyton broke Brady on the big stage and Brady hasn't recovered since.
Oh, he won that SB too and was MVP.
Also setup with Luck for the next 12+ years too. Pretty good over here for Colts fans.Comment -

#23^^ you do realize Manning was a big reason why they were down 18, right? He had yet another playoff pick 6. Manning is now something like 8-11 in the playoffs, with 8 one and dones? And he got carried to his ring by the D... 3 TDs and 7 INTs in the playoffs that year.
I am jealous as fuk of you guys with Luck tho... only 1 down year and you have another elite, franchise QB to replace the one you just lost? Goddamn thats a sweet deal. I honestly don't mind the Colts... was rooting for them this year. Lots of young talent and just a fun team to watch. You're in for some great years as a fanComment -

Peyton against #1 D in NFL jets in 2009 put up a 3 td 0 int 350+ yard passing day with young pups named Austin Collie and Pierre Garcon to go to the Super Bowl. Clinched the game with a TD drive in the 4th quarter to go up 27-17, pass to Dallas Clark.
Kurt Warner went 1-2 in Super Bowls... anyone think he wasn't clutch in those games? just was unlucky in two of them after being beneficiary of luck in his first, Titans tackled 1 yard shy of going to OT
don't have to have a winning record to be clutch. some guys just have more luck and have better coaching around them to setup the team to win.
Niners yesterday - example.
Ravens coach > John Fox by a mile... and I don't know shit about John Fox but after yesterday, I know he is not a great coach.Comment
