Bonds deserves to get in. Think about it, this whole era was riddled with steroids and there's no telling who "sinned" but managed to escape the media's hitlist. This is a tough class and I'd like, for personal reasons, to see Edgaaaaarrrrrr make the cut. Loved watching this guy hit and I was fortunate to have attended his retirement ceremony at Safeco. Is Mike Piazza really deserving?? Roger Clemens should get in. Good list all-around...or maybe I'm finally getting old enough to know and have watched everyone being nominated. Yikes.

No doubt about it. Bonds would have been a LOCK even if he hadn't juiced. And, I'm pretty sure if those guys were upfront and honest about it-----the issue would have blown over for them. But the lying, and the denials is what is going to doom their chances.
I see Bonds gettin in, in say 10 years. Same with Roger. The writers will punish them no doubt.

Wow. That's low.
I thought he would be in the 50's.
Bonds may not get in until he reaches the veteran's committee.

bagwell was clearly a juicer even if he never got caught
dale murphy and jack morris belong in
So they didn't voter certain guys in because they didn't have the stats of the steroid era guys, but then don't put in the steroid era guys. Make up your minds voters.

Thanks for posting that Vegas.
I was hoping for Jack Morris, but I guess that 3.90 ERA is hanging there.
And Dale Murphy. Always liked him.

Biggio makes it next year, Bagwell next year or the next. Good enough for a Houston fan.

I agree. Not the best numbers.
2111 Hits, 398 hr, 1266 rbi, 265. ba, 346. obp, 469 slg, 815 ops
But he was the 'Braves' in the 80's

Murphy wouldn't be a terrible inclusion, hi peak from 80-87 was great 284/374/517 140OPS+ 264HR/128SB over 1227 Games and decent defense, his biggest negative was how far he fell and how fast his decline was.
Jack Morris' support baffles, and Lofton, who I would consider borderline HOFer only got 3% is amazing.

I get the suspicion; he had muscles. But unless someone comes forward with evidence or another player accuses him of anything, he's clean in my book. He's never been accused, didn't show up in the Mitchell report, and never failed a drug test (that we know of). Can we at least stick to "innocent until circumstantial evidence assumes guilty"?
Sportswriters that get all holier than thou piss me off. I think two guys actually voted for Morris and no one else. That guy should've been off the ballot 10 years ago. And, yes, I did see game 7 of the '91 series.
