Not really about mental strength IMO. More about potential rest for Melbourne over pushing hard and wearing yourself out here. Kerber wasn't great in the 1st set, but Kuznetsova came out flat and never recovered from the break.Comment -

Damn, that was unlucky there, was sure Kuznetsova was going to win the 2nd set once she got the break up. Weird match, she showed some fight from late in the first, and even with the slow start she had her chance but flattened again.
Coochy, I do enjoy this time of year, having the cricket and tennis to bet on a bit helps fill the void (especially for myself with AFL being my main sport), and is a good chance to get away from the horses while the depth is low. And I have to say, it is also good just to have some high quality sport on just to watch, without having a bet on all the time. I headed down to the Aus Open last year for the first time with a day pass, will definitely do the same again this year, great value for money on the early days!Comment -
