-You become shady yourself
-Illegal in most places if you're in the USA
-Always a chance your funds take a one way BetIslands trip
-You could be doing something productive
-Mentally, emotionally, and physically unhealthy
-Family, friends, girls, society in general frown upon it
-Destruction of expensive electronics or other inanimate objects
-Turns you into a cold, jaded person who expects things to go wrong
-You learn to hate refs in general
-You learn to hate black athletes
