Non-EPL soccer picks for the Nov. 28-30 weekend (and a Serie A steal)
I try to pick out the biggest mismatches and obvious victories. I usually don't do tough even matches unless I see something special.

Sure Italian clubs can go into a shell for 90 minutes and play 7-2-1 if they wish (lol) but does that really work in the long run? No. Which is why the steal of the week is Calcio Catania over Lecce -120. Catania are 6-1 (loss coming to Udinese, a good club) at home. Also 9th in the table. Lecce are newly promoted and 17th. They've scored 3 goals away in 6 games (2 in one game and they were behind and a 1-1 draw against low-scoring Lazio). Just form alone is enough to see Catania through with a win. They are simply the better club. Of course Lecce will get into its turtle shell but Catania can get through eventually. (12pm)

Tough betting, MUST-SEE match of the weekend. What is better than Bayern vs Leverkusen, seriously? Bayern pk -125 is the play. They've owned Bayer lately (won their last 7) and never under-estimate Bayern anywhere and against anyone. I'm picking them for the same reason I picked them against Bucharest in the CL this week - they are simply better, have the experience, and are in their best form of the season. Bayern hasn't lost since Sept. 27 - enough said. (9:30am)

Another solid pick is top second division Spanish side CD Xerez at home over Elche. Not as solid odds (about -150) but they are solid enough. Xerez has lost only once at home and Elche only take points away from the bottomest of the bottom of the league. Xerez should have no problem. (12:30pm)

Matches that are decent picks and no write-up: Hoffenheim over Arminia Bielefeld (-1 better odds if you want, but no guarantees) (9:30am), Barcelona +odds over Sevilla - if Valencia could outplay Sevilla and dictate the tempo for most of the game, what can brilliant Barca do? (4pm)

There's a game on Fox Soccer Channel at 12est tommorow between AFC Bournemouth and Blyth Spartans. If you can get any +600 about Blyth, take it and have a small bet, they've got a real live chance.

Thanks for the tip, they're certainly worth a shot!

Hoffenheim up two early.

And the Catania line has moved drastically. I can't find anything in terms of lineup changes, player suspensions.. I don't know why it's moved.. a trap perhaps?

Catania one-sided attack particularly good during corners, they've almost scored two or three times.. [halftime]

Xerez almost scores in the opening minutes, sustained pressure then give up a counter-attack goal [15 mins in]

30nov [ITALY SERIE A]- Juventus Versus Reggina
Points: Last match Juventus lost to Inter Milan. Comparing the odds, it is good to eat ball as many unexpected results recently.
Suggestion: Reggina @ 1.5 (1.89)

Sunday 11/30

Might've played Augsburg/Rostock but they are both low-scoring teams, and low scoring ends in mostly draws or even games that could go either way. Duisburg/Oberhausen looked well but I don't do three way lines and my book doesn't have a +.5 -.5 line for it. I'd take Duisburg +.5 in this case. There are some good Serie A matchups but I don't see anything sticking out. You never know with those lower-table uber-defensive teams, Lecce already burned me on Saturday.

Hamburg over Bochum +125 - Bochum is a decent home side however Hamburg SHOULD overcome any difficulty with this bottom side. Hamburg have lost their past three away games however they were against sides with great home records (Hertha, Hannover, Hoffenheim) and Bochum does not play any different at home than they do away. Hamburg are a better team and should win, but it might be tough. (11am)

Caligari pk over Sampdoria - Caligari is great at home with hiccups against only the top (Lazio, AC Milan, Juve) playing against Sampdoria who hasn't lost since October 26.. why? Because they've played 6 of their last 7 games at home. Strange scheduling. What happens when they leave home, however? 1 point from their last 5 away matches. And they just played an UEFA game on Thursday. Caligari will have the home crowd and fresher legs at their favor. Chose PK just in case, just to cover all bases. (9am)

Deportivo la Coruña +.5 over Almeria - Almeria are a decent home side but they close up against better competition such as Valencia, Sevilla, R. Madrid. Coruña are a better side who have lost away to only top clubs (A. Madrid, Villareal, Valencia) and hang in there. This game is winnable and at the very least drawable. (11am)

..I'm not even going to try and touch the EPL - every single game is even almost even in my opinion. City sticks out but United had Villa at its mercy most of the game last week, and I think one of those will get in tomorrow. But -odds for a United win here I won't take.
