Joe Mauer, Zach Parise, Blake Wheeler, Kris Humphries, Larry Fitzgerald, Paul Molitor, Jack Morris, Herb Brooks (1980 Olympic hockey coach, also an Olympian himself) are the obvious ones I can think of off the top of my head

JJ Watt is from my home town (Pewaukee, WI). So is Tom Opie - the most mental athlete I've ever seen, but he's likely doing f-all now. His pops made Bob Knight look like a saint coaching High School ball - and yeah, his teams sucked (and God rest him proper). Hard to win with a dick coaching you. Glad I moved elsewhere... That said, the Opie Court for hoops in Pewaukee is legendary. Only other guy with roots there is Chris Chelios - he married into another top athletic family there, the Dumkes. His Xmas cards were legendary - black eyes and all. Good times to revisit 30 years after that fact. Wish um all well.
