it seems like i am having a harder time dealing with sportsinteraction every week. last night i made a bet on the Essendon/Carlton Australian Football League match. The match ended in a draw. there is no option to choose a draw, yet my wager was graded as a loss. I don't see any rules listed for afl, but i have no idea how this can be anything other than a push. surely they cant consider all bets on this match a loss can they? i emailed a few hours ago, but still no response. anyone have any guesses on whether or not i have a beef?

#2Here what I got from Customer Service at SIA. I just got off the phone with them.
I asked the CS Rep. since there isnt specific rules on Aussie Rules football on their website, would Draws be graded as a loss or a push.
He seemed a bit hesitate to tell me what the answer was, and went on to say he was waiting on his linesmen to tell him on what to do with it. Because he was having problems with the result and feels it should be graded as a push. He told me he could have a answer for that in the next half hour.
He was wanting my SIA account ID, but I told him I wasnt signed up and wanted to know what the rule was on this type of thing before I even thought about signing up.Comment -

#3thanks for the info onlooker. i would call, but i left my phone at a friends. still waiting on the email. to me, it has to be a push if there is no draw available to bet on. how could you make all bets losers? hopefully it will be corrected. thanks again for the help!Comment -

#4update- they made the correction. it seems to me that sportsinteraction will usually do the right thing if you call them on it. you just need to monitor your bets because they seem to like to slip things by if they can. thanks again onlookerComment -

I was going to call them back after that half hour was up, and see if they had a answer for me. But no need to do that now, since you got your bet corrected.
They need to get specific rules up for Aussie Rules Football on their rules page, under the "Individual Sports Rules". So things are more clearer for everyone.

#6yea, i was surprised they didnt have it listed under the rules. that was in this instance good for me, however, because without a rule listed, i dont see how they could possibly rule that bet a loss. they couldnt, for instance, point out to a rule that says ties count as a loss. with no rule, a tie would have to be a void bet i would think. thanks, this site is great at helping people out, or as has happened a couple times in my case, telling bettors when they are wrong.Comment -

#7it is weird how some books grade pushes within AFL. Pinnacle takes 1/2 of your bet and counts it as a win and the other half loses. i guess you would only want to bet on the underdog at pinnacle if that is how they are going to grade them. i'm glad they corrected it for you.Comment
