Getting really sick of NFL REFS deciding the game...
with borderline unsportsmanlike or roughing the passer calls at crucial times. Unless he tries to take his head off you keep the flag in ur pocket there. Those rules are there to discourage a type of play, not to decide a game or a season

Sorry, but when Romo threw that pass, it decided the game.

Officials were very good this game.

Unreal shit, no holding on Washington all night while they have these huge holes because of holds, at least call one.

Its like calling pass interference on a hail mary, you just don't do it unless it is blatant. We don't tune in to see refs decide the game with ticky tack judgement calls

There is no other legitigate argument to be made. Yea it is "a game", but people's careers and lives ride on this shit to a degree. You just cannot make that call. Really, it should never be made. But there is a difference between opening drive to "set a tone" or some bullsit and that. Have some cmon sense as an official. Do your job. That is not high level work right there.

They are crappy calls BUT the NFL refs are the only refs of the 4 major sports that are actually held accountable. They are forced to review their games and they are critiqued and graded. According to their grades they are able to referee bigger games. The league's head office wants them to enforce the rule therefore they have too. The NFL refs aren't arrogant and actually seem interested in getting the calls right unlike the Umpires in baseball and NBA refs who basically think they are the reason people show up.

No matter what happened before that hack shit call, the game should have come to one last possession. Boys need 7, two minutes. I lost an average size season prop on Boys win east. Think i had a solid play regardless of the outcome. Nothing to do with the outcome, but this game should be used as a prime example of how the contact to the head initiative has gone way to far.

How in any way was that a borderline penalty? That's 100% called every time. I dont like the rule but it is what it is and he made direct contact with the QBs head.

The roughing call at the end completely contradicted the officiating that happened the rest of the game. No holds barred on the outside the entire night but God forbid somebody nick rg3s helmet. Officiating style totally benefited wash and totally worked against dallas just on each teams style of play.

Seriously, Dallas 1st touchdown should never had stood, delay of game and holding by the OLG. As for Romo, poor decision making will always lead him to throwing interception. Instead going through his progression with dink and dunks, he gets greedy throwing pass downfield into coverage.

Just look at any hail mary and you will technically see pass interference about 75% of the time, but it does not get called because it would basically decide the game, instead they let them fight it out. Same thing here. Game deciding plays should not be overridden by any type of roughing or unsportsmanlike call, the season is on the line.

Officials have to control a game and are forced to make split decisions on the drop of a dime. Mistakes are to be expected and many calls will be open for a debate. But!!! to make a soft ass after play judgment call, blow to the head of a quarterback, when the game is on the line is a different story. You just dont do that. How many of those borderline bumps to the head are overlooked? Probably several a game. This is a football game. Has everyone lost there mind with this shit?

I would rather lose a bet because Romo fuked up again than to a penalty whose purpose is to protect the QB on future plays by scolding the defensive player.
