in 18 games. still a lot less of an average. Unreal how he dominated the USFL with all their talent, but could only manage 700+ yards the next year in the NFL. Walker was a great college back, but one of the most over-rated nfl players ever.

dude only ever had two years with over 1000 yards rushing

It is an incredible record that still stands today.

And if you all remember, he did it in style, down a california freeway in a nice white bronco rockin' a cell phone.

He also has a legit claim to the all time record.

Hershel Walker did win 3 Super Bowls for the Dallas Cowboys, nearly single handedly.

tony dorsett was their #1 back that year....the next year they shipped td to denver and herschel lead the nfl in yards from scrimmage

the next year he had over 2000 yards from scrimmage

it's funny that as far as sec heismans go, bo is the icon and herschel was "one of the most overrated nfl players ever" and bo dreams of having the career herschel did....sure bo got hurt but how many others were remembered for so little due to injury? herschel's sin was the trade that made the cowboys 3 time champs and its not like he made that happen himself
