We dont even have a split yet. We go into the playoffs. Around 215 started in the pool with 40 left. That one was a $100 buy in.

In the other pool with only 28 left was a $50 pool. It was a rebuy pool though through week 6, so it has a real big pot of around $22000. Naturally only 1 person lost today though!

No one lost last week in both pools. In the 40 person left pool, we had 5 losers who took New Orleans.

I would estimate that out of the 35 left in the $100 pool, at least 7 will win out through the Super Bowl. In the $50 pool with 27 left at least 5 will go undefeated throughout the Super Bowl

I ran a couple of pools.
We had 90 entries, and 3 just ran the table. We split it 3 ways.

So, how do you work the playoffs.
Their would be no way I could do the playoffs, because, all of our teams have been taken that are in the playoffs.

Well these pools are done through officefootballpool.com

In the playoffs, all teams are still available and you can reuse them as often as you like. That is why I said that there would be around 7 people that win out. For instance, for the first round most everyone will take Green Bay or Houston.

Some years something unusual happens like last year with Denver beating Pitt. I think that about 30% of players who were tied after the season last year had Pitt the first week of the playoffs

looked at that site, looks interesting, I might try to use that next year.

I've been using text messages and excel to organize my pools.

Of course, since a lot of my guys are over 50, some of them are computer-scared, so I still have to do all the phone calls.
I get my guys to turn in their picks by Saturday, just because its such a hassle on Sundays, to get everybody's picks

It cost a little bit per person, but it is easily worth it. It is the biggest site on the internet for pools.

It sets a deadline of 12pm cst on Sunday for picks to be in. For the Thursday night games, the deadline for ONLY that game is at 7:20pm cst. But this way, no one can see what other people have taken
