JJ, you are 100% on target. These young Asian kids go to school for as early as 7:00am in the morning, and dont finish til 11:00pm with the extra classes. Some 7 days a week, and there isn't a summer break for these kids. I almost feel bad for them as its seems they don't have time to just be kids. Learning English is a Major issue with parents willing to spend a ton of money for foreigners to teach their kids, so just BSing "English Conversation" can earn 25-30 dollars per hour.Originally posted by jjgold
I was thinking about Newark the other day, how you have to be careful where you walk around late at night. But over here with the no gun laws its a lot safer and you really don't have to worry about getting mugged. Thirty miles from North Korea and Americans feel safer here than in some of their hoods back in the states. Something is wrong with that picture
