you cannot go for it on 4th down late in a tie game when if you don't convert, the other team is in FG range

it's basically game over if you don't make it.

but you would make it over 75% of the time against that trash defense and you would lose most of the time if you punt, % wise it is not even close you go for it, plus if you convery you can hit a big play and win in regulation

you have to punt. I normally am in favor of going for it on 4th and short but not there

if you convert, the odds are very much against you scoring anyway. A conversion means the game goes to OT basically. That's your "big win"
