How to play

The following events award Tri points (see chart below):

• Poker tourneys: Daily tournaments plus a high stakes tourney on the final day. See schedule.
• Hoops contest: Tri-gambler must pick 100 games, rating plays from one to two units (your choice, no limit on either 1 star or 2 star selections as long as you pick 100 games). Join contest.
• 4 to 1 Blackjack: The final event for all Tri-gamblers will be a 4 to 1, one-hour single-deck Blackjack contest on Tuesday, April 9th at 9PM ET. Min bet 1, max bet 1.

Now make sure to have another one of these contests in the summer to rope the rest of in.


The contest seems to weigh too heavily on that 1 hour of blackjack however. I would have made it like 5 blackjack sessions to really get better results of the best blackjack players.

Good question. The Grand Finale is part of the poker tourney schedule, so points won for that count toward the poker leaderboard standing.

Yes, the Grand Finale is just another tourney in the poker part of the Tri. It's a high stakes event compared to the dailys so there could be some final day movement in the standings.

Correct, the prizes listed in this thread are for the Triathlon Championship.

The poker and hoops tourneys have their own payouts. How well you do in those determines your Tri-points, as does the one-hour Blackjack. The Finale Poker prizes will be announced closer to the event.

No. The games will start on the 7th. You enter a daily tourney and you're in. It's the only thing happening in tourney play so nothing to do but get in there and place as high as you can.

If you can do well in the poker and picking contest you will be in great shape when 4-1 Blackjack rolls around. If you are back in the pack you still have a chance come blackjack time but you will need some luck and help from others. It's a fornat that tries to balance keeping hope alive for many while still favoring the best gambler.

I have an IPad, so no access to poker. Can I still do just the bball event?

If you have access to a Mac computer, you can play SBR Poker by installing a copy of Windows with Boot Camp, or an emulator program.

People are free to only play individual events for the respective point prizes associated with em, but would figure not to be in the hunt for the $5,500 and the point prizes for Triathlon Championship.
