Let's say you make a $500 deposit. What is your strategy? Let's say you go up to $1000, do you withdraw your deposit amount of $500 and keep playing with the winnings?

This is for small timers only not the big bettors.

Would be smart, but I usually deposit about that, but never withdraw until I can withdraw at least a k, and still leave enough to last a week or so in there (1k+)

I usually deposit $250, alot of times I will get it up to $800 and idiot me instead of cashing out some money I end up losing it all, cause I have terrible money management. But I deposited $250 3 days ago, after this weekend Im up to $1100, had a nice hot streak this weekend. So definitely going to put in for a westerm uniom first thing tommorow morning for some profit, before I go back on a losing streak and lose it.

Money management with online books is just another hurdle to winning. Mentally, it's harder to stay rational when you don't get the cash after every win (like you would at a Vegas sportsbook when cashing in a winner). It's just numbers on a computer screen until you actually cash out, and it's so much easier to get "loose" on your bet sizes when you're up with an online book.

Definitely agree that you need to have rules in order to make it. I usually wait until I'm up 2x my deposit (ie. deposit $500, get to $1500), cash out the initial, and then visualize I'm back to square one, and keep the bet sizes the same. Increasing your bet size too much when you're up is a quick way to give it all back

Usually every 2k profit I make I withdraw. If in need of money 1k and withdraw.

actually i think its harder to manage money with a local. online theres no week (unless its some kinda bonus) so its basically timeless and theres always an ending period with the local, plus local is credit.

Both these are good posts, it just depends on the type of person you are. Not being on credit is definitely a bonus for me, gotten in a little over my head in the past with a local. But online, I literally pissed away 7k in about a week, and really didn't think a thing about it. This coming from a guy who makes ~$500 deposits.

My bets are generally the same, so when I turn my initial $500 into $1,200-1,500 then I take a withdrawal. I don't like getting checks, so I want to be able to use a P2P method, which are usually capped about $1K
