Thanks Agenda. I appreciate that you're cognizant of the fact that in order for me to be credible, I have to tell it like it is whether I like it or not. I can't tell you how difficult it is to write these columns and do these podcasts when your last week was a nightmare and your entire season is circling the drain. But, if there's anything I can impart it's that we all go through it, regardless of who your favorite handicapper is and the worst thing you can do is try to make excuses or alter your record.

As for the Alabama bet, believe it or not that -325 looks pretty good right now as it is climbing in most shops. Personally I would hedge half of that with ND +10- (notice the hook and buy it if you have to). If this game falls in between the numbers you rake on both sides. I'm not sure who I'd back in this one in terms of the spread though my natural inclination is to lean toward the chalk. Ten points is a lot especially when you're talking about two outstanding defenses which should keep the scoring to a minimum. Hedge it baby!
