You are right. No warranty. Just a B rating ( SBR advertises to play at only books rated B or better ), and heavy endorsement with a lot of proven lies for a company run by one of their buddies. If Best Buy sold any product whether it had a factory warranty or not, it would stand behind its product, and wouldn't lie about that product to induce customers to buy. Has anybody asked SBR if Jon is now working for 7red or EZ? SBR and Jon have been in contact since BI closed ( they are probably still drinking buddies). We know this because SBR has been telling us what Jon is confirming and what he is denying.

Nice thread learned a lot about the brass at SBR last couple days. Seem a little shady, might be time to move completely.

A lot of posters are coming to this conclusion. Many others are waiting to see what, if anything, happens. I am just getting more and more depressed, because it looks like I will be left out in the cold even if SBR does do something. If they can't get a decent book to do a bailout, it looks like they might consider helping only those posters that deposited after November 7th -- as though those of us who were working on a roll-over at the time don't count. Even EZ, where I have an account, hasn't sent me the e-mail that everyone else is getting -- I must have done something wrong. But I know there are other posters in the same boat as me, and I hope they raise as much of a stink as possible.

                Per DJ Destroyer:

"This will be my last attempt to get this resolved. I have emailed SBR/Lou/John several times but to no avail. I would simply like to know which rule I broke that resulted in me being banned for life?
As far as I know, I have not broken any rules nor was my conduct unruly. Yes, I told John to "go ahead" and remove my PRO status (not really expecting him to) and he did. Fine, I can live with that. However, I never agreed to a lifetime ban that limits me from voicing my opinion.
I contributed $200 to an SBR sponsor and have made many more contributions in the forums (threads, pics, info posts, videos, etc.). I'm also currently signed up in the NCAA Bowl contest which cost me quite a bit.
SBR obviously doesn't value these contributions and thus does not want me as a member. I am now realizing myself that I do not want to be part of a forum that censors honest and valid posts. I would also rather not be associated with any forum that can treat it's members as I have been treated this past week. And if you haven't picked up on it yourself, the parallels between SBR shutting me out with no good reason/taking my points and BI stiffing their customers is uncanny.
I will definitely miss the interactions here and many of the members, but I will be across the street somewhere so you guys know where to find me. But in my parting, I would like to leave one fleeting request; and after all SBR has done (or not done) for me, I would politely ask that it be fulfilled out of respect to me and other members who deserve to know:
John, what the fukk is up?"

How does it not cost them? They give out much more than $200 per pro member per year. Revenue may cover that but they return a good portion of that in value to pro members which is something all these other sports forums do NOT do,they pocket it as profits while SBR gives it back to it's pro members. I'm speculating but with the established books not needing to spend as much on marketing SBR may have felt the pressure to generate revenues partly to support the pro program which led them to rate BI higher than they should have.

As for bans try asking covers where the Beted money went and see how long you last. If you don't trust SBR books go play at covers recommended Topbet, or Rx BI affiliated EZstreet, or your choice of shady EOG books which not long ago included Oddsmaker.

SBR isn't perfect but I wouldn't be putting them in the same category as many of the other slime ball sports betting forums. I find it hypocritical when guys say they are leaving SBR for moral reasons yet you can find them "across the street" on a site which has no ethics and will send it's members to the highest bidder.

I think John, took his lumps and swallowed down some bad medicine. He came back with plenty of answers to hard questions. I commend him for that. I don't expect SBR to be perfect in rating/touting these books. I don't expect them to have spys and phones tapped to get the jump on news out of left field. I've seen John take some responsibility and say sorry for things that may not even have been his or SBR's fault. I'm over it.

John, can we unban Wal66 for the new year? give him a fresh start?

I'm not sure we had any Christmas pardons

but I think Wally could be someone to consider

none of us deserve the grace and mercy we receive from the Father through his son

Wally most likely does not deserve grace here either, but in the midst of cleaning our collective 2012 slates clean and starting fresh in 2013. I think it would be a great gesture to allow Wally back

Perhaps there's something behind the scenes between DJ & John that we aren't aware of. PM's, private emails that haven't been disclosed?
If this is not the case it's grossly apparent that John is compounding the heap of $H|T he is in.

It not only looks arbitrary & vindictive but, reeks of an abuse of authority.

When you have a conflict of interest, you don't deal with it by antagonizing a situation.

                            Just my "Non-Pro" 2 cents.

Hope someone emails me after I get banned for this!
