Might have been a little early to change the standings from total points to points possible. I would think that the points possible only starts to matter on Jan 1st or Jan 2nd. But at least that will keep MM from getting too excited!
For the first bowl between Rice and Air Force we didnt have alot of teams taking this game. However, 2 people did take Rice a 3* play and no one took Air Force as a 3*. Also, even though we didnt have many teams take this game the picks were basically around 67% on Rice.
So if you didnt take the game at all, then you are a fan of Air ForceComment -

One 3* loss wont kill anyone for first, but 2 three star losses will kill you.
If you have two 3* unit losses then you max total is 24. Most likely it will take 23.5 to win the whole contest and around 23 points for second. So once you lose two 3 unit plays then you had better win the rest of the games. I think that 5th place will be around 20.5 points juding from early results. But again, most of these predictions are based on the fact that LSU covers.
If LSU doesnt cover, then the winning total probably drops by at least 1 point and maybe 2 pointsComment -

More than one will go 5-0 in the 3* games. You can still place with one 3* loss but two pretty much ends it unless you run the table everywhere else.Comment -

Rest assured that in a group with 55 entries that someone will go 12-3. At least 2 guys will go 11-4. Now will they lose all 3 unit plays? Maybe so.
TCU really hurt alot of people in this contest. I now need to go undefeated the rest of the way for any real shot at winning. And half of the field could be eliminated if LSU doesnt cover on Monday Night.
Because of the TCU loss and number of people who had TCU, I might have to lower the winning score from 23.5 points down to a 23 points or maybe 22.5 points. But I would expect that at least 8 guys will be at 20 or more in the end.
There of course is a very good shot that we have ties for the prizes. Do you split the prizes for ties? I would think soComment -

As a group, we had many more people on OSU than Texas.
