someone has to ask the tough questions, so here goes:
did you know that tittywarrior (chris robinson) was in charge of social media for betislands? and was his primary purpose here to create traffic by acting dumb?

Mike, I thought you were screwing around.
Is that really true? How did that nugget get out?
And, if that's an act. He deserves a f'in Oscar.

Yeah, but Tub of Goo also claims to be rich.
So, this may just be more attention whoring on his part.

John, can I ask you a question.
I love your site, I didn't like your reaction to the BI mess, but oh well.
Anyway. When you heard about BI What was your initial reaction? Pissed off? Surprised? It wouldn't hurt for us to see how Oz reacted to this mess.

It's down 140 points. Big deal.
Some people would laugh at these "problems." Or get pissed off.

were the shills, co-conspirators logging in from CR? If so, that should have been a red flag to someone at SBR since I would imagine they would know virtually anyone logging in from CR and posting.

I posted this in another thread; The players are the victim and trust SBR to steer them away from dangerous books. We failed miserably. In hindsight the warning signs were even right in front of us.
SBR dropped the ball and I'm extremely unhappy with those employed and trusted to manage this area of the company. BI was our smallest forum sponsor and never should have been allowed to be in a position to damage our reputation. We don't need these books and I don't want them. SBR was greedy and turned a blind eye to the reckless bookmaking policies and instead over valued their CS. I'm as equally at fault if not moreso for not asking questions until last Sunday.

John you should put this as you feel bad for what happened here and you want to hold those accountable for this terrible mistake. I would for sure put this at the start of the website here just what you said here. Thanks for doing this and now put this as a stick part of the forum would help.

Thanks John.
Appreciate the honest response.
Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Sidenote. John, had you tacked that at the top of PT, it would have ended this BI mess for you on Wednesday.

Whether or not anything could have -- or should have -- been done beforehand by SBR re: BI will always be debatable.
What SBR does have control over, however, is its reaction and the damage control. John's post here would've done a lot of good in the immediate aftermath. It still can -- better late than never -- but it needs to be seen. That's good marketing and good business.
Just my take.

Iowa farmland up another 34% in the past 12 months, plus dividends.
Stocks are a total waste of time, in the last five years, many stock investors have figured this out and dumped money into farmland.

Yeah, we're in the same boat. Hard to turn down the free money match, even if I think 401(k)s are a scam as a whole....
