I wasnt watching the game where UNC beat UL or UConn. They may be ranked #1, but its just like last year. A handful of really good teams then a big drop-off
I'm taking my chances with Notre Dame +450

#37How can you claim Louisville holds a candle to UNC? They're not even #2 in the country. Could they even beat Notre Dame or UConn? If you have to question that then they're surely not close to Carolina. UNC won by 15 easily with McAlarney going nuts and dropping 40. Who in the country can guard Ty Lawson except maybe the guy at Michigan State (forgetting his name and don't feel like looking it up).
Go Gaels tomorrow!
Oh and by the way... I think Wake would beat Louisville on an average night. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.Comment -

#39APPARENTLY THERE ISNT MUCH LEFT IN THAT CRACK PIPE IF YOU THINK WAKE WOULD BE ON LOUISVILLE LOL. For the last time, I already said you could tell the rest of Notre Dame wasn't physically ready to play. Louisville's #3 in the nation and I said both UConn and UL. I forgot to mention Pittsburgh though. Blair would be a LOAD inside for UNC to handle.Comment -

#41does nothing? An Elite 8 is hardly nothing GUY. A little disapointing, but you are an IDIOT if you think Louisville isn't better this year than last year. North Carolina also doesn't play in the BIG EASTComment -

#42guys I'm not saying that UNC doesnt deserve to be #1 in the nation. I'm just saying that the polls in November really dont matter and neither does how you're playing. Look at Lousiville last year. Lost to Dayton and Purdue (before they got good) early on, but ended up playing great in March by POUNDING Oklahoma and Tennessee before losing a close one to UNCComment -

#44North Carolina might lose one game in the Big East this year. MIGHT. Louisville will be lucky to get out with 3 losses. And thats generous. Blair vs. Hansbrough. You're kidding right? Are you really trying to argue that even a healthy Blair would have any shot against Hansbrough? There are two guys in the country that I'm scared of down low...and those two are Blake Griffin and Hasheem Thabeet.

#45And to build on my last post. Oklahoma has no one who can guard Lawson or Ellington. And I've been saying from the beginning of the season that UConn is the only team who might be able to steal the championship away from the Heels this season.Comment -

#48And don't get me wrong. The Big East is an incredible conference. And UConn and Louisville and Notre Dame and Pitt all have very good teams that should reach the Final Four. But UNC beats Notre Dame and Pitt 9 out of 10 times, Louisville 8.5 out of 10 times, and UConn 7.5 out of 10 times.Comment -

It is incredible how biased and illogical Big East fans are.Did you not watch the game tonight? Carolina dominated all aspects of the game after the first 5 minutes. Notre Dame came out shooting the lights out and McAlarney put up like 25 in the last 8 minutes and we still won comfortably by 15.
COMFORTABLY.
Against the #8 team in the country!
I'll repeat. Comfortably! With Hansbrough still not completely healthy.
Cincinnati should be in the national championship for football right? And the Final 4 will be UConn, Pitt, Syracuse, and Louisville? Maybe Carolina if one of those teams has an off day?Comment -

#52UNC got a break by playing Oregon instead of Texas last night. Notre Dame was obviously tired like 5 minutes into the gameComment -

#53So being tired is the only reason they were down 25 the whole game? If they're a talented team that has a chance to beat Carolina, then they should be able to hold it to 10-15 the entire game whether they're tired or not... not be down 25-30 points the whole game and have to go nuts at the end of the game to pull it close to 10.
Make a point and stick to it.Comment -

#56do you really think that Louisville will let UNC run up and down the court like Notre Dame did? When you think about that game, why in the hell was Notre Dame trying to run with UNC???? Louisville will slow the pace down and make UNC win by running offense which they aren't very good at. Louisville is probably the best defensive team in the nation this yearComment -

#59The ACC is a laughable football conference. They're also a bit down in basketball. 4 locks for the NCAA tourney is nothing to brag about. I understand that. I gave credit where credit is due. The Big East is a great basketball conference. Probably a better basketball conference than the Big 12 is a football conference.
However, UNC is head and shoulders above everyone in the country. Go put a few dimes down on 14-1 if you're so confident in your Big East teams. One of them has to beat Carolina right? 3-2 doesn't lie.Comment -

So now Louisville has a better chance when the entire UNC team shoots better AND runs better?
Last year I was scared shitless when Tyler decided to start jacking up 17 foot jumpers. This year I'm almost happy.
Play zone and slow the pace of the game down. Carolina will just win 75-60 instead of 95-80. It doesn't matter.... what everyone is forgetting is theyre actually playing defense this year.Comment -
