My local told me Tuesday if they lose again this week they may close up. His group has been in business over 30 years and like every local in town is getting clobbered this year.

In the last 16 weeks of football they have not had one winning week.

Must be living in an area that the home team is covering. Up in New England, books got hit pretty good this season with NE and Overs. The one that really snowballed it was the NE/Seattle over that was horseshit luck

Dogs were covering at close to 60% the first 9 or 10 weeks, it has now avalanced to the favorites the past 4 or so. I doubt they are hurting for money they are just getting their brains beat in the last month and that is what they remember.

week 1 thru 9 Dogs were 75-40 ATS any book losing with those numbers doesnt have any action to begin with.

Since week 10 Favs are 58-45, not even as bad as I thought. Not nearly enough to bury guys who book, even to total squares.

That is just the NFL , and everyone does not bet every game.

But New England lost that game so it shoulda balanced them out. I'm sure the locals had more $$ on pats than the over that game

NFL season is like Black Friday for bookies. They take 90% of their action in the NFL. I would say half dont even book baseball and if they do theyre laying it off somewhere.

Talked to my local the other day he says he's getting hit pretty hard this year. Worst he's seen in 5 years.

i duno my locals been shady last 2 weeks and i didnt even beat him for much either week. usually has the info ready tuesday and sets up when we are squaring up i had to ask him the last 2 weeks. hes paid me 5 figures once and mid 4 figures a few times and had no problems at all, yet he needs to be hassled for a few hundred bucks?

You'd be surprised in this area. There is a TON of action on overs and teasers that involve the over.

College football the past two years has been a public free-for-all. I'd guess that's the root of the problem.

Any book complaining about losing money in the NFL is just plain lying.

wants numbers r probably right, but these guys get killed big time when the good majority of the favorites cover (parlays), we have had a few of those weeks lately. also, hardly anyone favored by 7 or more has lost su, that cant help most of them.

we are talkin about college football here.

you realize how many guys piss on a 10k limit for nfl games and i live in pittsburgh, not some bustling metropolis.
