Funny. Before I opened up this thread, I thought to myself NWA. Totally agree.

NWA were real gang bangers that made music

Most everyone else copied them through the years but were not certified gang bangers.

Ice T gets undeserved credit. Guy has always been a punk, not a pimp.

Check him out in this scene from the very non-thuggish movie, 'Breakin'. LOL!!

Anything by 2pac, dmx, ice cube, mack 10, WC, tooshort, 213, and nwa would be considered classics, and REAL GOOD music

after Get rich or die trying hit the shelf, rap officially died in my eyes, ice cube put out 2 pretty good cd's since but i consider him old school so anything he releases i dont consider it new.

The key in order for a rapper to get my respect is to never fall off..the money gets to 95% of artists these days and they feel as if they don't need to work hard anymore when making a song...its all about the rappers who are independant an remain hungry ...AZ says it best in this interview..

lol I'm real strong on this topic

Ice Cube would write all of Eazy E's rhymes.. Eazy was just a coke dealer but supplied the funds from drug dealing for the group to get off the ground. Eazy was the realest muthaf-cka in the group though and after he left NWA he did write his own sh-t. Real muthaphuckin g's is a classic eazy solo joint.

5-10 yrs ago yes..but ever since he signed to a major label hes been putting out mainstream stuff..

once you sign to a major you get told what songs to make..it has to be stuff that the majority of the world listen to and like..but there are some people like myself who don't listen to the crap simply because its fake and meaningless

Just because most of them have graduate degress does not take away from their gangsta-ness

TuPac if still living today would of been one of most powerful black men in the world

He was very smart and verbal but a fukkin real gangster that did him in
