i hate shopping with people. i rather stay home and watch the news about the barreled in poor folks lining up 5am in the morning. it is funny they're how happy when they spend 6 hours waiting in line and get a 10 dollars off some crappy printer.

other than race tracks and sportsbooks, i never see so many people lining up to spend money.

No way in hell I wait in line for hours outside (especially in MN)! Just think of waiting in line all night at Best Buy to get a door buster deal on a hdtv or laptop and they still run out because the store only has 8 of them in the store.

Just got a Wii at Costco for $244.99 yesterday so my Christmas shopping is done for the kids!

Walmart has a 50 inch Samsung HDTV for 800 dollars. Don't tell me some of the posters here haven't considered camping out for that. I have a 42 inch plasma an I even consider it. :|

Not only shopping, doing anything that involves crowds and long lines is just terrible. Nowadays you can do anything from the comfort of your home; I would not change that for anything in the world. Well, there's concerts and ball games, but other than that...hell no.

Me and my goons are gonna be camping out at various locations in rented vehicles...watching the big screens get loaded into vehicles..then we follow them to their home, gas stations, etc. and fukkn rob'em..easy move and you dont have to wait in the cold...sit in the rental and case the joint...piece of cake

That TV is only 720p right? Good price if you're not into HD or Blu-ray, but like dagger said, that price isn't due to Black Friday. 1080p is the new standard and all of the lesser TV's will be sold for a really good price.

apk2k6...i have a big screen phillips and i notice that it can either play in 720p or 1080p right??? if so how do i change it from 720p to 1080p??? sometimes it'll pop at top of screen and say 720p but i def. know that the tv has 1080p...thanks

I did it once and never again. Went to walmart in a line a billion people long. Some douchebag and her husband decided they did not like the length so they started a new line. People put shopping carts and trash cans in front of her line to block the new line which had gotten to about 200 strong. When the bell sounds she picked up speed with her shopping cart and hit the barrier top speed sending cards, trash cans, and yes people to the ground in a heap of flesh and metal. True story. Never again.

With PS3 watching blue ray it is a true 1080p signal. Watching cable/dish you're recieving a 720p signal. Once cable/dish broadcasts in 1080p you then will recieve it in 1080p as well.

Gunz...cable comes through at 1080i on HD channels, but I believe watching it on 720p is better than 1080i. The p stands for progressive scan.

Deuce is correct, I hope channels start broadcasting in 1080p, the only thing available in this resolution is Blu-ray right now.
