Vince Carter was half man, half amazing. AP is 100% amazing! MVP...If only his team could make the playoffs it would be a no-brainer.

Rodger trounced by the Giants and looked ordinary. Manning hasn't looked ordinary against anyone this season. Three close lost to Pats, ATL, Texans, all top teams in the NFL.

What about Calvin Johnson? He is doing what AP is doing. Putting the entire team on his back. He needs someone to throw him the ball though so he can't do it all on his own. His team will be watching come playoffs much like AP's team too. He at least needs to be mentioned. Both AP and CJ are tremendous.

You can't give the MVP award to someone who is on a 4-10 team.

MVP is the MVP of the league. Have you seen his stats?

I'm just saying he needs a mention at least. YPG is outrageous.

He looked very ordinary against the Pats and the Falcons. He picked up garbage time TD's in the Pats game when they were already out of it. He single handedly lost the Falcons game in the first half. The Broncos were already a decent team in the worst division in the NFL without Peyton. Has he put them over the top, yes. However, this was a playoff team last year with many components returning/upgrades at other positions. Peyton was beaten head to head by Brady and Schaub.

Adrian Peterson is having a season for the ages. Manning is having a great comeback year, but not an MVP type season. Teams are stacking the box knowing that all the Vikings are going to do is hand the ball to him and he is still destroying teams' defense.

Including fumbles, fumbles lost, times sacked (leads league), sack yardage, team losses....

these detroit guys r good for a laugh, ill give them that.

deuce one of the best posters here having somewhat of a brainfart.

goat somehow thinking brady is ahead of manning in the mvp debate, not suprising.

anyways, i think a qb should never get the award ever again unless he throws for 70 tds in a season, with the flag footballesque rules. peterson should definitely win the award, him getting the all time rushing record and carrying that crappy team after a major injury should really be a no brainer, but manning will win.

                          Bump for truth.

AP put this team on his back and carried them to the playoffs. He made the biggest impact when it mattered most.

Also, they need an excuse to give it to a non-QB once in a while. Does Peyton or Brady really need another MVP?

Here is a tidbit out of the Star Tribune- Minneapolis/St.Paul Newspaper:

Put me in, coachAdrian Peterson has lobbied to play on special teams, and not only to return kickoffs.
"He always asks," special teams coach Mike Priefer insisted. "He's a football player. Gunner, field goal block, returner. The guy is awesome. I always say yes. And then I ask the head coach and he says no."
Peterson confirmed his desire to get on the field more with a role outside of the offense.
"Yeah, for the past two years I have been trying to get in on field goal block," he said. "Come in off the edge. You know. It's just going to take one block for them to really be [like], 'OK, you know what, let's take the chance and let you go out there and get it done.' "

I applaud AP's enthusiasm, but coach is right, don't let the star player get hurt on some freaky special teams play.

I usually love to come on here and make fun of the idiotic posts I read, but this is a very intelligent point. Manning is amazing, but the Broncos were a playoff team last year with Tebow (barely). The Vikings would be downright bad without Peterson. Realistically they wouldn't win 3 games. He is their entire offense.
