I just got a Windows 8 tablet

Boys, Gifts come in all sizes. Like the love from your family or just knowing your not Posted up at Bet Islands. And then there are the gifts that really matter, the ones that remind others that they are broke dikk fukks.

Bored just bought himself a Samsung ATIV Smart PC Tablet. So while all you broke dikks are sitting there on your Ipads or worst yet Iphones getting frustrated by it's limited capability. I will be sitting here unchained. You see boys while you had to drop your ipad and move to a laptop or worst yet a desktop; Bored gets to load up Poker right on his Tab.

When I want to drop my entire Point roll in the Casino playing Three Card Poker I don't have to stop what I'm doing. . I'm fully mobile living the dream. No longer limited by a "Mobile" os. Heck this thing even has a Webcam so I could do videos from it not my phone if I wanted.

Actually the Ipad is ok if all you need is a media player with occasional non flash web browsing. Or for Porn like Chilidog said. But I like being able to do everything.

Nah, I got a decent deal $699 with keyboard and put it on my Verizon with no issues.

Nice. Windows tablet is 10x's betters than any ipad or android tablet

that's cool. i'm still in the market for an ultrabook, but am waiting for the new haswell chip to come out before i buy one. it will be my only machine replacing a full laptop. i'm still not sold a tablet can be someone's only machine, even with the windows surface form factor.

The tablet is not much different than the Ultrabook except of course the lack of i-7 chips. The SSD is fast and loads are nice. I don't miss the optical drive and if I did I can do USB. If I had serious use for my PC then no probably not, but I'm no power user anymore.

yeah, i'm not a power user either. however, i want a 13" or 14" screen and tablets don't come that large. the ultrabook keyboards also feel better to me than the super thin tablet keyboards. most ultrabooks don't have an optical either which is ok for me. i didn't find a first gen ultrabook that was reliable enough, so i'm hoping for improvement with the next gen's that have haswell otherwise i'll be stuck.

I have an iPad 3. I love the simplicity of it. I also have a Macbook Air and I feel like getting this acer iconia will replace not just ipad but also my macbook air since it had corei5 processor. The only thing I'm wary about moving to windows 8 is the spyware virus situation. I've owned macs since 2007, and since I made the switch to mac Ive never had any spyware malware or virus issues while when I had windows I used to get lots of issues and having to reformat my computer at least once a year. But I feel like since I'm older now I don't go to pirated movie sites nor do I torrent stuff anymore I just purchase it on iTunes now.
