            The Tigers have agreed to sign free agent right-hander Anibal Sanchez to a five-year, $80MM contract, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports (on Twitter). Agent Gene Mato represents Sanchez, who agrees to terms with Detroit one day after coming close to a deal with the Cubs.

                  Agreed, they gotta wait, develop, be shrewd for another2-3 years IMO then go for the big splash free agents. I just don't know if Ownership and fan base will allow that kind of time table

                                I can agree that he's borderline. Either way, the idea that the cubs should wait to sign free agents until a few years down the line is naive, especially after looking at the 2014 free agent pitchers.
