They were just putting one tiny piece of the rotten pie banking debacle under the microscope,Citi Group and if anyone can keep a straight face and say we don't have absolute socialism in this country,I don't know what it will take to open your eyes.

How the hell can a peon ''worker bee'' ''wageslave''that isn't in a government approved special interest group, union,on entitlements or employed by the government have any incentive to be employed in the private sector and pay their bills.Under normal circumstances there would be a revolt in this country but the majority of people fall into these categories and don't think the country being looted is a bad thing because they loot too.

The government and economy have become a wheel of fortune for some and a wheel of misfortune for others. The whole game is rigged and fixed and for the government to go after dirty NBA refs and college players for point shaving is hypocritically outrageous!Totally absurd the whole thing is!

I will never watch people like Ben Stein again who are now taking sides with the massive bailouts. They are all frauds that belong to a club that protect their ilk of evil doers.

Absolute Socialism? I can say we don't have it. While we definitely have socialist aspects creeping into our governmental/economic system there are still plenty of aspects (and even entire industries) that remain free. I'm not a socialist and I am by no means happy with what has happened in the recent past but maybe the point that neither extreme (capitalism/socialism) can work flawlessly. What might be necessary is some mix of the two... isn't that the way it always is?

of course ben stein supports the bail out, all the money is shifting from the government to the banks, and who owns the banks?

all under the "guise" of increasing liquidity, bullshit. only beefing up their balance sheets so they can buy more banks. they aint loaning a penny to anyone. unless they double the interest rate.
