Red Sox fan, and a big Youkilis fan...and I have no issues with this signing. After the way the Red Sox disrespected him publicly, I can't blame him for wanting to stick it to the organization.
The fact that he's well past his prime, and will likely hit .260 with a low OBP and not much power doesn't hurt. Five years ago the Yankees would have had the best starter / backup at 3B with these two...now they'll just be lucky to field an average third baseman while paying them a combined $37M.
