Weird? 6 straight BCS National Titles, 3 out of the last 4 College World Series, and even our rather weak basketball conference has won 3 National Championships in the last 7 years. I root for damn near everyone except for ASU in the PAC.

I always look for a way a win is advantageous to the conference.

For instance, I dislike Oregon generally - but I was rooting for them in a big way vs. Stanford. (Oregon lost the national title that day)

Also, in basketball, since we have so drastically digressed - I have even found myself rooting for my retarded younger brother up north in ASU.

Definitely lots to be proud of athletically, I do not think any questions that. But along with that comes near the bottom graduation rates, and guys scoring a 4 out of 50 on the wonderlic (a score of 10 or better is considered literate).
And being a Duke basketball fan, I love seeing teams like Maryland, FSU, GT being good at basketball, makes the conference more interesting, and more fun.

say what you want but its definitely odd. i dont think youll see penn st fans pulling for wisconsin in the rose bowl in anything more then a casual manner. you will see a ton of neutrals rooting hard for florida against louisville because you are in sec country in louisiana.
