#38He's going back to Texas IMO. For whatever baggage he has, he fits into their clubhouse and has a support system there. Rangers would have a MASSIVE hole in their lineup without him. They'd probably be forced to trade Andrus at that point for OF help.
Guy is already 31 with the body of someone a couple years older because of the style he plays with. Certainly he would DH some to reduce wear and tear, but you're not paying big bucks for a guy who isn't going to be expected to hold down a prime OF position for years to come. Yanks are bringing back Ichiro pretty soon according to reports. Only way this becomes a remote possibility is if Yanks trade Granderson and blow Hamilton away with a deal like the one rumored here. And it would just be another shit contract they've signed off on. Otherwise, no team in their right mind is giving this guy more than 3-4 years.
Have to add that it would be a pure panic move IMO if they do it. I know losing is unacceptable in NY, but at some point they have got to find some young players and bring in more homegrown talent - which likely means some mediocre years. Much better served to buy some medium cheap stopgap measures and save money.Comment -

#40stop jumping the gun people. As stated above he will most likely stay a Texas Ranger. But there is no way the Yankees would even consider signing him for 25 mil. per yearComment -

#44Not sure it was wise to sign him, we ll see, they ve needed quality pitching for yrs and continue to sign positinal players for huge money, it s like they dont learn from their mistakes, just my takeComment -
