People keep talking about Floyd like he's stunk it up like Pacman has his last few outings. He's still put on boxing clinics. Just because he might have lost a step doesn't mean much when he was already several steps ahead of the competition. Sometimes I think people just want to watch fighters fly around the ring swinging their hands crazily, maybe that's why so many were blinded by the Filipino all these yrs?

Back to Floyd, he would school Alvarez and I don't see that fight happening in 2013. I'd like to see him take on Bradley if there's no chance of getting his turn to spank Pacman.

floyd is the most technically skilled boxer and has always been in a much higher class than manny, it's never been close.

not in a million years would floyd ever get knocked face down unconscious for 5 minutes with blood gushing from his nose by an average 39 y/o boxer. never.

but that's exactly what happened to manny tonight and that's how he'll always be remembered.. face down with his brains beaten in. epic knockouts like that are never forgotten.

Are we under the impression that Floyd and Manny haven't given a decade's worth of great performances? I do wish Floyd would have felt within himself that he should have faced Pacquiao at his best. That's behind us now.
Floyd has been a phenom, and Manny took on everyone who wanted some when he captained an era at the top of the game.
We don't get that many great performers in boxing; nor does any sport. These two measure up tactically with the legends from any era. I tip my hat to both of them, and Marquez.

Pac was winning the fight and got caught. It happens. he looked far from washed up last night. He got careless because he wanted to finish the fight.
