Mcnabb, Reid, the marriage is over!!!!
I cant believe that Reid benched his franchise Quarterback today. I laid the wood on Baltimore today. Made some money! As a Handicapper you could see this coming after last week, philly fans wanting Reid gone as coach and 10 year vet Mcnabb not knowing NFL rules on overtime last week. I am a huge Philly fan and this marriage is over. This could get ugly before season end. I heard that Kolb might start next week. WOW! 10 year vet going to the bench.

What do you guys think? Just thought I could get some other opinions from cappers and sports fans.

What was Reid supposed to do? McNabb has been pathetic for 3 games now. Kolb isn't going to key a turn around, but he had to try something. McNabb will probably start Thursday due to the short week. That's his last stand. If he wants to keep his job this season, he has to produce a win and play well. If not, 10 days after that until their next game - the Kolb era will begin. As an Eagles fan, I hope they just suck and get a good draft pick at this point. They're not making the playoffs and if they do like last year, their draft pick winds up being mid-pack if finish .500-ish. Sad, but true.

I think it was an early pull, and theres no way you can go back to McNabb. He made the switch for good when he pulled that stunt.

I think you need to give your team the best chance to win when youre still in playoff contention, and McNabb is the best chance to win. In two or three weeks if you havent turned it around and youre actually out of it, then its time to go to Kolb, not now.

They aren't in contention. They've got 5 teams in front of them for the 2 Wildcard spots and still have to play Washington, Dallas & The Giants, not to mention Arizona this week. Be lucky to finish with eight wins. Their offense is a mess regardless of who is running it. Kolb will be good eventually, but this season looks pretty lost.

Being 5-4-1 and down 10-3 at halftime isn't in contention when youve got a top 5 DVOA and strong YPP stats?

Regardless of your personal view of the team, there's no way any rational person would say that they were not in contention at the time McNabb was pulled.

Remember back early this season on sunday night I think against Chicago when Philly couldn't punch in the ball on the 1 yard line.....Ever since that crap game, you see that Philly would go nowhere this season.

I think it might be time for a total face lift of the entire team. Other than Westbrook.

I really cant agree with this line of thinking. Was it a good sign that they didnt get it in? No. But, I've never believed that a single series determines a teams season. For every example of a series like that where the team has gone off the rails after, there's probably an equal number of examples where the team shook it off and had a great year.

We're talking playoff contention, not just the game. Even with a win, they're fighting an uphill battle after last week's debacle. McNabb was setting up the opposition to score more points than he was putting his own offense in position to score points the last couple weeks. Not to mention his first half performance/the offense period was horrid. They haven't played well in the 1st half in like a month. Slow out the gates, buried at the line. Reid gave McNabb plenty of leash. Alot of coaches would have ditched him last week. Only reason he didn't was because the game was tied most of the way and they moved the ball a little until McNabb threw picks or they failed on the old 3rd and shorts.

And I have been a McNabb backer since he came into the league. #5 is my boy, but he's just not getting it done and this is far worse than he's ever looked in his career during any stretch.

Phila just does not have the team anymore but McNaab still makes them competitive, watch them bury Zona next week.
