Love all the excuses people are coming up with now.

Its injuries right now. Not that it would make a huge difference but they have lost 3 of heir top 6 guys, although dantooni keeps benching gasol.

I said it all summer, lakes would struggle. I didnt think they would be this bad, but like I said they have injuries and they got rid of Brown. Brown is a much better coach than dantoni. but players quit and now they live with what they have. they got lazy and figured they shouldnt have to play defense, which is all about effort.

So when kobe is playing his last year on a Laker team 10-15 games below 500 and surrounded by D leaguers he can thank dwight Howard for ganging up with him and getting Brown fired, while Dwight is making 25 million where ever he is and still bricking fre throws.,

the worst thing about all this for lakers fans is this is actually gong to be a 'good' team compared to what you will all be seeing for the foreseeable future.

They have been beat by Utah twice, Sacramento once, Orlando (at home) Indiana (at home), Dallas once.

They have played one of the weakest schedules in the league so far. They have played 21 games and 13 of them have been at home. Theyre 9-12 SU. Thats means theyre 7-6 at home, barely above 500, and 2-6 on the road, which is aabout what you could expect from them due to recent history. Whats going to happen when they start playing good teams on the road? Or start playing the good teams at home?

The do get a reprieve because the suckiness of their opponents in the next ten games might even get worse than it already has been. @ Cle coin flip game but Cle sucks, @ Knicks loss, @ Was if they lose that they should disband the team, @ philly more than likely a loss, Home to Bobcats they cant lose that can they?, @ GSW loss, home to Knicks probably a loss, @ den loss probably, Home to Portland should be a win Port sucks on the road, home to phi should be a win. So they have some of the worst teams in the league on their schedule upcoming, but then again they have been beat by some of the worst already too. But their next 10 Lakers could go as bad as 4-6, but possibly as good at 7-3. 4-6 puts them at 13-18. 7-3 puts them at 16-15. So the best theyre looking at on New years day is a 1 game above 500 record. That will put them somewhere around the 8 or 9 seed I would imagine, with 50 games to play. But to do thatthey will have to play a lot better than they have so far. Pau will help if his head is in it, or if he is still here or if Dantoni doesnt bench him. Nash? Who knows? He isnt going ot be the instant impact everyone thinks he is thats for sure.

So them winning the west is a joke, them not even making the playoffs is the real question.

Dumb Laker move brought on by past anger with Phil Jackson and Laker management plus his demands which appeared unreasonable.

D'antoni will need to continue to do poorly once Nash comes back to lose his job, imo.

this. Jackson just wanted to hear his name wanted the fans to hear his name. he knew they would never agree to his terms he just wanted to make buss look bad to the fan base and stroke his own ego.

LMAO lakers havent won 9 in a row in probably 5 years, not even when they were good enough to win it all. They probably havent won 5 in a row since before Shaq left, I could look it up but I dont need to.
