    Everyone please read!!
Gentlemen its time to take action!!!

Why are we all just sitting back and doing nothing while congressmen decide what we can do with our money? Gentlemen we are all smart, intelligent, and most importantly VOTERS.

Why is it that illegal aliens can come into this free country and do as they please, but we can’t gamble? These congressmen are making us out to be degenerates, wasting away our savings and ruing society, when in reality we are the exact opposite. We are the ones who buy over sized and over priced HDTV’s so we can watch our games clearer. Expensive computers and almost any gadget we can find.

We are not poor welfare moms and dads spending our last dollars on lotto tickets instead of food for our kids. (Then again maybe that’s why they don’t like us) We manage our money in life and in our gambling and that is something these congressmen will never understand.

Why they don’t understand? Well first off because they do not want to. We all know they are pissed they are not getting a piece of the pie and these offshore companies shoving it in their face with their advertisements everywhere isn’t helping. Secondly they do not understand because we do not make them!!!

Take for example the guy from EOG on CNN other day. Got treated like garbage by a host who didn’t even care about topic. Would that of happened if it was a religious group or immigration issue? Hell no! Why because those people would be pissed and get their voice heard!

Which is what I think needs to be done. We can sit and be lazy and send already written letters to our congressmen and see this thing we love be taken away. Or we can get up and show everyone how pissed off we are about this and that were not going to take it!!!

There is power in numbers people. I think it should be the responsibility of these types of forums and credible sportsbooks to work together and bring people together to support our cause. If it is a protest, a serious TV interviews, anything to show the world who we are and why we gamble so we can show these guys we are voters and not people to be messed with. Maybe it is just me but I fell we are way to quite about this and soon after it passes will realize we should have done something.

    Opinions are greatly appreciated.

    Pete!

    Great post!

I agree 100% for a country which claims to be so free, freedom is something that seems to have disappeared in the recent years.

How are they gonna stop it. Internet is not goverment owned nor is it controled by goverment. The only thing uncle Sam can do is allow gambling via Internet in the U.S and get there REd, White and Blue Paws on the tax end of it but what would stop us from doing business overseas. lets face it Uncle sam is ******. Unless they can own the Inernet there shit outa luck.

Problem is we are the minority here folks.

What percentage of us gamble online, and are actually good at it?

Joe public and your congressmen are not going to stop this.I think that the people that own all of theese gambling operations overseas should all get together along with all players and send a strong message to uncle sam.(I'm not really sure how, but if we gathered everyone that plays online poker, bingo, casinos, and sportsbooks and told the government they can put us in jail and kiss our asses!) Would be a pretty good start to me.

People are just going to have to break the law or move to Vegas.

Dead money you understand what I am trying to say. We are not the minority! There are MILLIONS of people playing poker online. Its disappoints me that sbr john or bill dozerhave not replied to this.

PokerRoomReview and other sites like Pokerlistings and so on should be working with the big names like Party, UB, Stars, and Full tilt to bring us together and make our voices heard!

IF illegal mexicans can protest in almost every state why cant we? Why should we be quite and scared? These sites could bring us all together in every state and send a message to these guys, **** with us and lose alot of votes!!!

Im I being unrealistic here? If I am someone tell me. I would think a protest like this would be in the best interest of not only the players but esp the sportsbooks and even more these poker sites that are making millions and and even sbr, the rx, eog, without gambling this would be pointless.

Great place to start with civil disobedience. Gandhi walked to the sea and made salt. He gambled and eventually won. Why even go through such a hassle? Let's just gamble.

By the way, books should set up some powerful overseas proxy servers, and give away free ISP-changer software for US bettors. Offshore proxy servers would throw US law enforcement for a big loop. They would no longer be able to trace signals to individual US computers. IMO that should become part of the standard package with offshore books.

Such software already exists, but surfing over overseas proxy servers still has some problems; often too slow and cumbersome. Some highpowered proxy servers could change that.

Well, we don't have to accept it. I thought we were the risktakers in society. So what's with all the panic? Government can't enforce anything if the people refuse to play along. Can you see the jails filled with criminals who placed a bet online?
