We all know here as sports fans that the record, not always, reflects the talent and ability of the team. As a team the Lakers are shooting 63% from the FT line. That absolutely positively will NOT continue. Individual matchups in this game? Harden vs. Kobe..Harden should go for 20+, outside of that? Lakers have the advantage at every position on the floor. Including the PG position, where Jeremy Lin has been a below average starting PG.

go back and read was I was saying a couple years ago about what lakers were doing, I laid it all out, just like I am laying out the next 5 or 6 years. There is a reason they have garbage like that on the bench, but all laker fans see is "lakers sign Nash", "Lakers get Howard for 2012-2013 season", "Kobe on a mission", "lakers hire Datoni" (well OK they werent thrilled about that maybe).

4 years ago Lakers had a good team and had some talent, but they went the completely wrong direction. They trade Odom for whatever reason, then they try and move Gasol and Bynum, guys they should have been building around rather than moving, and they extended Kobe Bryant to one of the stupidest contracts ever.

It really isnt the Los Angeles Lakers and hasnt been for 3 years its the Los Angeles Kobe Bryants. And you see what it has gotten you guys....dogshit. Laughing stock of the whole NBA, and it is only going to get worse.

I cant wait til next year when this team is 15 or so game below 500 and kobe is in the last year of his deal and the Lakers are scrambling trying to figure out what to do, and they completely mortgage another 3 years on this washed up has been.

Had they gotten rid of Kobe Bryant a couple tears ago they would be in a lot better shape than they are now. AND they would actually have some draft picks to get some young talent, or at least prospects. The times of instance turn around are over in the NBA, the new luxury tax fixed that, and if the lakers think they can buy their way to another championship theyre begging. Especially when its Kobe Bryant as their centerpiece getting 30 mil a year, which equates to 60 million on paper.

Thats why these younger teams that suffered are now shining because they got these guys cheap and they had guys willing to go places for less money. No one wants to go to LA at all let alone take less money. You really think Howard wanted to play for the Lakers? With Kobe Bryant? Hell no, I can guarantee he is convinced now he was right about not wanting to go there.

There has never ever been anyone that willingly went to the Lakers while Kobe has played for them, not a single guy. Shaq bribed an ancient Karl Malone and Gary Peyton to come there for a ring to end their careers that was as close as it gets. As soon as Shaq left malone retired rather than come back and get paid to play with Bryant, and Peyton just went somewhere else.

Kobe Bryant is a cancer, sure he helped them win a few rings, but it made the organization radioactive for who knows how long. This might be another decade or more of Lakers being a cellar dweller, like it was when Magic had to retire. There isnt Jerry West out there feeding them players for nothing anymore either, so they cant rely on that. You have Jim Buss and his bad of misfits trying to play fantasy basketball, and it just isnt working.

But the myopia of lakers fans knows no bounds, they think this is just a bump in the road and they will be winning rings in no time.

Lakers are so bad now it isnt even funny burying them anymore, there are only so many shovels full of dirt you can put on them at this point.
