It was alright, personally I'd have rather waited until February when the real season starts. The poor kids in a war torn country angle has been done so many damn times that even Jack Bauer can't make it interesting.

True. The Sopranos was a show that did that all the time, they'd have a relatively slow episode but implicate so many storylines and exciting stuff coming forward, foreshadowing it all into that episode.

BTW, I think the Madam Presidents son isn't long for this world.

Holy fukc that was badass. Maybe its just because Ive been deprived of Bauer for so long but I loved it. The intensity, the story lines, the fukcing shit up. A+ from my end. Can't freaking wait for January 11th. 4 hours over 2 nights.

Good deal. Yeah it was good seeing Jack back in action again, the scene where he used his legs to break the guys neck was pretty cool, but I just can't get up for the war torn kids country angle, always seems to involve a "last chopper" that will take them back to the States. Been done more times than Ricky Martin performed "Vida Loca".

Still, I'm excited for the upcoming season. And the Madam Presidents sons wife is a total babe.

24's not the type of show you wouldn't understand, but you wouldn't appreciate Jack's character enough nor the little subtleties that come with the show. I'd recommend watching Season 1 and if you like it bang out the rest.

it works out ok.. started with 3... i'm not going back and watching season 1 (got 1 and 2 on dvd for xmas)

will watch the current season on Dvd.. I'm conditioned/spoiled by watching so many shows on dvd now... not sure I watch week to week anymore..

Season's 1 through 4 are some of the best television out there.

It's cool to see them bring back Tony, Bill, and Chloe this season.

I'm not sure what to make of this season so far.

While I was obviously elated to see Tony not be a bad guy, I think they're progressing very quick through this storyline, so it leads me to wonder if we'll be on this government corruption angle the duration of this season.

And I also think they show too much in the coming attractions. We can already infer Agent Walker is kidnapped, the Madam Presidents husband's bodyguard is dirty, etc. And I don't feel Tony turning on Emerson was that believable. The guy resurrected him from the dead and was his only friend for 3 years, now all of a sudden he's Mr. Clean again?

I just think they gave us a lot to chew on and digest so far, and I hope they didn't shoot their wad early, because I hope there are more shocking twists and turns in store for us going forward.

I think a lot of shows give away too much information in the previews so I avoid them completely. I got tired of seeing them show me something for next weeks show and then it doesn't happen until the very end. I am juts sitting there waiting for it to happen. Sucks.

I once banged out season one in under 2 days, it was during that period where the writers block was in effect I believe and I just had this huge urge to watch some 24. Plus, by that time season one was kind of older and it was great seeing Jack as he was younger and less developed a character, although from the start he was already so grizzled and accomplished.

I bought season 1-6 on black Thursday for less 100 bucks and am on season 5 now. Sometimes you get so into them that ive gone the whole 1,050 minutes watching season 3 it was. Got to finish the next 2 season before I start watching season 7!

Anyone have a tough time watching on Fox after they bought the season? seems like commericals/waiting a week for the next show would tilt me!

The scene with Jack busting out of the parking garage was completely impossible.

Also, on Sunday, the sequences showing the pilot adjusting the throttles are reversed. The first time the pilot is told to descend. He pushes the throttles forward. This is wrong. He should be pulling them back. The second sequence when he is instructed to pull up and go around. He is shown pulling the throttles back when he should be pushing them forward to increase thrust.

Next episode, I expect dirty secret service agent to relay the fact that Henry has information to his boss.

Maybe they'll rob Henry at gunpoint and/or kill him to make it look accidental.

They could spin it as "He discovered the truth about his son and was so devastated that he killed himself."

After watching without commercials, it's hard to go back.

The wait was way too long. They could have spread out the four hours over several weeks.

I first started watching when they advertised the season 6 premiere heavily by the super bowl.

After that season, I got seasons 1-5 and watched all the episodes in the span of a few weeks. I would watch like three "hours" straight some nights.

And I think it's probably the best opening 4 hours of 24 I've seen.
