All the schools in the MAC benefit. Frankly they should just have NIU/Louisville play in a bowl. Why ruin multiple bowl games when you only have to ruin one?

They were left out of BCS games cause they lost to pretty good Nevada teams, better resume than Northern Illinois. BCS is a joke. They didn't like a really good team like Boise State showing everyone up, yet they feel pretty safe with NI. Also, having to play TCU in the little kids bowl that one year was a virtual snub.

Guys, fact is Northern Illinois HAS to do be in a BCS bowl because those are the rules. So they had to play somewhere, its not like the BCS is even happy about it. They took away Oklahoma's spot, which I am sure everyone involved would have preferred (outside of NIU that is). I do agree they should have had NIU play Louisville though, at least that would have left four good BCS matchups, not to mention NIU vs. Louisville would be a competitive game too.

It was impossible for both Georgia and Florida to be in. but Georgia has somewhat of a beef considering they beat Florida head-to-head. Still, bottom line is Florida finished ahead of them on final BCS Standings.

Listening to the ESPN talking heads about NIU takes me back to when everyone was in an uproar about VCU getting into the NCAA backetball tourney a few years back. VCU made the Final Four..... Hope NIU beats FSU outright.
