Georgia is not used to being in those situations. Maybe another chance next year. 2 SEC championship games in a row for dawgs.

It actually looked like he was going to the end zone but the ball was tipped. Conley should have never caught that ball though..

Ball was tipped. Guess they wanted to catch the D off-guard. That tip saved the day for Bama but Georgia WR shouldn't have caught that ball.

You practice all year all of your life to catch a football that touches your hands and to knock it to the ground at that particular time just doesn't factor in at that point.

You're right. Georgia beat Florida straight up, but Florida should be in over them.

If they had spiked it, I am sure Richt would have made sure to tell everyone not to catch anything short of the endzone. It all falls on him.

It was said all week long by all of the talking heads, Georgia has more talent, but Bama has better coaching. That was exactly how the game unfolded.....Notre Dame now has to look across the field and see a bigger and better version of them self in the title game.

yeah that ball was significantly tipped. he was going for the receiver in the end zone top corner. just over the receiver who caught it.

He knew when he caught it and everybody started walking off the field and cheering that he had fukked up.

Coach blew this, by not spiking the ball. Two min O plays are very vanilla. They are fine and serve a purpose, but when you get that close to the endzone, with such little time left, calling a better play would have been the way to go.

Give me a break. It was a back shoulder pass to the cone. Bama was gassed and on their heels. If he had spiked it, bama would have gotten short-field subs in. Uga was on a roll and a pass got deflected. If the wr drops it theres another play. Can't blame anything but bad luck.

I agree it looked like he was trying to throw the fade to his WR (who was fully covered though) and the tipped ball made it go short to the RB. True that the RB shouldn't have caught it, since an incomplete pass would have been another play, but in that scenario I don't think those kids even think about that. Great 4th quarter though.

Florida played 5 top 12 teams... UGA and BAMA played 2 prior to today. Yes, UF should have been there over either of them. Bama and UGA were supposed to play each other this year and cheated their way out of the game. If they played in season one of them wouldn't have made this game in the first place.
UF was 4 - 1, UGA and BAMA both were 1-1. Both games UGA/BAMA lost were embarrassing losses as well.
Bama and UGA both had a 2 game season. All they had to do was win one of the 2 games. If you look at strength of schedule and overall games, UF deserved consideration over both of them. Another con job by the SEC folks in Birmingham.

a spike and they might have had three plays! Took time calling that play as well, I believe. You call a time-out in that situation and the fear just sinks in, plus time to take advantage of that fear with a nice play call

Having the D gassed and on their heels works well and to a point, Georgia found out what that "point" was the hard way...Defense just blew it big time. They would have just gotten more scared had Georgia lined up...Where's it gonna come from? "Sh*t, what just happened?
