Take Oklahoma State next week- inflated line
This game will be in Stillwater and I can tell you right now the line will be overinflated because of this blowout OKl-Tex Tech game. I think OSU has a great chance to win straight up. All week Oklahoma is gonna hear how great they are and there will be a ton of talk about the 3 way tie bullshit. Oklahoma won't be focused and I guarantee you Ok state will. I expect Stoops to pull off a good choke job. I say right now that Ok state wins straight up. A team is never as great as their best game and never as bad as their worst.

Is it worth taking Oak St. on the ML is the question?

I agree that Oklahoma could have a let down, but Ok st. has been very unimpressive in their loss to tech and the win last week over colarado

I wouldn't bet on OSU to win, but I would definately consider taking OSU ats.

I could make a lot of money if I could figure out what games Oklahoma isn't going to show up for, but good luck figuring that out.

                      already on OK-7.5,
OK not being up for this game is a joke, its an in state rival along with OK trying to get to the BCS title.

Ok St plays them tough most years

But this Sooner team has to win big to stay ahead of Texas in BCS

I would not worry about there focus

                        Sooners by 10 or more

Oklahoma -7.5, easy. It might be a close game at first, but Oklahoma will pull away in this one. This line is not inflated whatsoever. The line was -7.5 before the Texas Tech game and afterwards.

                            I'm taking OSU +7.5

The game is in Stillwater. The only ranked Big XII team to lose at home this year is Mizzou (who lost to OSU).

OSU averages 52.8 points at home, while only averaging 23.5 points on the road. Gundy has consistently played overly conservative on the road and then absolutely bombarding opponents at home.

Pettigrew is finally 100%, Bryant unleashes at home (look at his stats at home vs. away) and OSU has far and away the best running game in the Big XII with Hunter/Toston/Robinson.

Other than beating Tex Tech last week, Bob has not faired well in big games these last years. I think he has problems with his ability to get the kids focused instead of reading press clippings. Ok State wins this game because it is the ebb and flow of college football. Believing you are Superman one week to goat and choker the next. I always say No team is a s good as it's best game or as bad as it's worst.

Stoops will have them ready just like you said a big in state rival. All OK has to do is win and they pass Texas.Texas cant move in the BCS with any type of a win because of strength,Oklahoma can because of a tougher schedule.I live about 40 miles North of Stillwater and thinking about going to the game.My nephew gf has season tickets to OSU he ask if I wanted to go.Dont know may be drunk and out of it by tomorrow LOL.

It is harder than you realize to keep 19 and 20 year olds in this position to be humble and not think they are better than they are. Only few coaches can. Do you think OK should have been motivated for these games?
Chew on this for a while:
                                      K State -OK
On Dec. 6, 2003, Oklahoma was undefeated, ranked No. 1 and ticketed for a BCS championship shot in the Sugar Bowl against LSU. The Sooners were widely expected to win their second national title in four seasons. They were playing Kansas State in the Big 12 title game that day, and they were two-touchdown favorites.

Then Sproles sprinted through Stoopsie's defense like the wind rushing down the Plain. He ran for 235 yards that night, plus earned 88 receiving yards, and K-State shocked the misfiring Sooners 35-7.

It was like knocking the teeth out of the schoolyard bully. All the invincibility disappeared that day.

Ever since, Stoops has stopped winning the big one at the same remarkable rate he had earlier. From that K-State game through today, Oklahoma is 4-8 against teams ranked in the top 15 of the Associated Press poll at the time. (And Stoops can thank God for Missouri, which has accounted for half his four victories.)

Five of the eight losses have come as a favorite. Three of them have come against Texas -- the archrival that Stoops once owned but now has beaten just once in four years. Four of the losses have come in the Sooners' past five bowl appearances. They've lost four straight BCS bowl games, all of them embarrassing in one way or another.

From Dec. 6, 2003, to now, Bob Stoops and the Sooners are 5-8 against the AP top 15.
2004 Sugar Bowl -- LSU 21, Oklahoma 14. That was the game after the Big 12 title debacle. The Sooners, favored by three points, never led. Heisman Trophy winner Jason White was helpless against Nick Saban's defense, completing just 13 of 37 passes for 102 yards with two interceptions.

2005 Orange Bowl -- USC 55, Oklahoma 19. This was a toss-up game -- the Trojans were favored by a point -- and Oklahoma utterly collapsed, turning the ball over five times and surrendering 540 yards. It was 55-10 before the Sooners added some window dressing to a busted-out pane.

2007 Fiesta Bowl -- Boise State 43, Oklahoma 42, OT. The world remembers that the Broncos needed a phenomenal flurry of perfectly executed trick plays to win this game. But the fact is, seven-point underdog Boise State controlled the game until an 18-point Sooners rally in the fourth quarter set up the frantic finish.

2008 Fiesta Bowl -- West Virginia 48, Oklahoma 28. Once again, the Sooners were jumped early by a touchdown underdog. This time, they didn't recover at all, giving up 525 yards of offense to a team that barely used its most explosive player (Steve Slaton) and had been held to nine points in its previous game by Pittsburgh.

After both Fiesta Bowls, I've listened to a shell-shocked Stoops try to explain how his Sooners got their cowboy hats handed to them in games they were expected to win. One of the most cocksure coaches in the country had no answers. No swagger.

Good Luck I think the sooner O-line and Bradford will be too much for OSU, I really like The sooners to win this game. I dont know anything about press clippings and ebb and flow but I know what i see and thats that the sooners are playing very good football right now. Oklahoma owns OSU in recent years. When history and who i think is the better team match i do ok.

i'll give you a sharper one, pags. check out the home/road opponents and youll get your answer why ok state scores more at home, its coz the competition has been much easier at home, ck it out:

                                          at home:
v houston when houston had not turned it on yet, ok st scores 56
                                          v missouri state, enuf said
v troy when troy was still figuring out the qb situation
v tex a&m who is horse shit
v baylor, improved but still baylor
                                          v iowa state, who sucks

                                          on the road
at missouri, the big 12 north champ for second straight season
                                          at texas, enuf said
                                          at tex tech, enuf said
at colorado, not a good team

so its not that they get 'more conservative' on the road, but more that they have played much better teams on the road, now they play the best team they have faced at home all season whose D is improving by the week

oklahoma -7 is a perfect line, no real value either way but if forced i go with the sooners -7

                                          enjoy

                                            I'll be on Ok State.

Most of the money is on OU but the line has gone from OU giving 7.5 down to 7. I know it's only half a point, but with all the money on OU, that line should be going in the other direction.

                                            But GL to all

I thought that this would probably be a letdown game for OK and that they wouldn't cover the 15 point spread that Vegas would give them. But the line is 7. I think they cover.

This reminds me of '02: Blowing out Texas Tech on Senior Night in Norman, 60-15. Oklahoma, then ranked #3, came into the Oklahoma State game. They went down 35-6. Then tried to come back, and eventually OSU still won 38-28.

Here is another nugget:The Sooners have won five straight over the Cowboys. But Oklahoma State has played them closely in recent seasons, twice stunning them in big upsets that foiled the Sooners' national championship hopes in 2001 and '02. Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops has a 3-1 edge in previous games in Stillwater, although none of his victories there has been by more than six points.

this is probably the best offense the sooners have had under stoops tho, so good luck with it

This might be the best Okl team of all times so 1st off it will not be a blowout, can Okl St score 42 points?? They need that to have a shot.
