And inevitably, some team is going to give him well over $100 million for his services.

I can not see how any team would pay him what he could of been worth. All they need to do is watch the last 2 months of baseball he played this past year. His true character showed and it was disgusting.

josh hamilton is a stud...if you think otherwise you have no clue about baseball.

but is he worth 25 mil per year??...probably not. But he will get paid 25 mil per year....the number of years is the sticking point as of now. Teams may give him 3-4 years...but he wants 7 years.

Some team will eventually cave in for 6-7 years though.

Trout setting the table, then Kendrick (Hunter is gone) then Albert, Josh, Trumbo.............

Holy Mother of God, that first five would make Cy Young crap his boxers.

If this dude is demanding 7 years, he won't be playing anywhere next season.

He's going to be 32. He is living in a fukkin dream world if he thinks any club is going to risk that amount of years on him.

If I was GM of a borderline playoff contender that needs a stick in my middle of the order, I'd offer say 2 years with a third year option, say, upper 30 million for the two years, if he stays clean and sober and produces like a big league slugger, I'd pick up the third year.

That's it, 2 years, with a chance of a third year. Anything longer is asking for trouble.
