Former Colorado coach Bill McCartney said racism was a factor in Jon Embree's firing from the Buffaloes head position after only two years on the job in Boulder.

In a radio appearance, McCartney said the school did not give Embree, who is black, the same opportunity to build up his program as his white predecessors had at Colorado and that race motivated the administration's failure to stick with Embree.

Solich canned at Nebraska.

I don't think he was saying he got fired because of his race. He was saying that because of his race he won't get a 2nd chance to coach. The statistics for a black coach getting re-hired after being fired is like 1 in 41 coaches.

Obviously his record stated the reason why he got fired. 4-21 in two years isn't anything to be happy about nor anything good for the future.

His main concern was the players doing well in school. Colorado football players has had the highest GPA while he was coaching, that is very important don't get me wrong but, that's not his job. His job is to win football games and he simply didn't do that.

This is data snooping. If the low second chance % didn't fit they would bring up less booster support and if that didn't fit, overall lower level recruits than under white coaches and if that didn't fit, higher % of unhealthy fried chicken in the team cafeteria and if that didnt fit, etc. etc.
