if we have leaders that actually represented our interests then why would all of these countries that have been around for hundreds, or even thousands of years, have crippling debts? go back in time before the federal reserve act and the united states was the healthiest, strongest country in the world without federal taxes. and we were building more roads, bridges, railroads, etc.
    so true

Allow me to give you and education on how the government works.

Obama can't repeal the second amendment.

There are Two ways to repeal an amendment:

First, if the majority has control of both the senate and House as well as the presidency then the could repeal a law just like amending a law. The process is the same and could possibly only need a simple majority.

Second, if one party has control of the congress but not the presidency then it will be very complicated. The President has veto Power that would stop a law from being repealed/passed. The only way to get around this is to have 2/3rd's of the house and 2/3rd's the senate pass the law again. This would require complete bi-partisan support and would amend the bill into law without the President's participation.

Texas is not that bad. I've done well here so I can't complain. Not all of us own a gun, horse, and chew tobacco. I wouldn't have a problem with your liberal ass if you came to visit.

The trade closed at a value of $9500 up about $1600 in a day.

          Lets look at it tomorrow.

Clinton had it right, Bush ruined everything, Obama has languished in trying to fix it.
We can't keep borrowing money to fund these unnecessary wars, we need to put taxes back to where Clinton had them, we need to have our politicians work for us instead of being controlled by special interests (Oil Companies, Insurance Companies, Banks). We need to outlaw derivatives on energy (gas and oil mostly) to get the economy moving again.

They won't agree as soon as you think John, (maybe not at all) and it will be more volatile than you have accounted for.

A little relief from this talk

I'm a Hayek person myself. If the majority of americans felt this way it really would not matter what mess the federal goverment created as it would be small and they could not do extreme harm.
