he was almost tackled in bounds.

There was still 1 second left after he scored the TD.

So had he dropped it, they still had few seconds left to kick a FG.

for the last time...when he made the move to the endzone if he would have been tackled short it would have problably at least taken a second more to get him down and the clock would have run out...either way, you get the point...
