No disrespect to Denver, they have played a tougher schedule than So. Miss, 1-3 losses to Iona, Cal, and Colorado State, beating AMCC (whoever that is).

So. Miss is perfect at 5-0, albeit a real soft 5-0, beating 4 cream puffs along the way.

But on paper, at So. Miss, Eagles should win this by double digits.
I've spent the last 15 minutes or so looking at this game, and concluded I must be missing something, because this line should (IMO) be -8.5 or 9.

Am I missing something here?

Everyone I've come across (including myself) is on So. Miss. Either they've gotten us to take the bait, or they didn't put enough time into the line, or perception is So. Miss. is overrated and people are going to bet against them, who knows, from what I saw So. Miss. should win so I put my $ on them.

Sounds like you answered your own question. Denver has been competitive vs. a good schedule, Southern Miss has beaten nobody. Plus Denver is always an appealing dog because they play so slow, and USM has turned the ball over a LOT, which becomes more magnified in a game with limited possessions.

Denver is a team you only bet @ home. I remember three years ago when they covered every home game. The dimensions of their court are the same, but its feels different when you are a mile high.
