I know SBR has a weekly video where a dsi lines manager (or whatever) claims certain public/sharp ratios.......

ok, we're supposed to believe him when he calls certain money "sharp."

and sites like sports insights gives you numbers....graphs even....of majority/minority money..

how does joe shmoe know what money is sharp or public? maybe using line movement......

take last nights NFL game. the majority of the money was on Carolina, i get it. But you're meaning to tell me the smaller percentage of money was sharp?? are you kidding? what sharp bettor would wager on these Eagles?

people just throw numbers around, see if they mean anything come tuesday.

i'm learning to pick winners, phuck public money...

i guess following line movement would be one way to determine sharp money. or if you know a sharp and they share their bets. i dunno, i like thinking about this shit..

Predicting 60% of your prediction correctly at the value of -110 or better. You can make a living gambling.

The finding what a sharp line is complex. Could be line movement, value movement, reverse line movement, fading public money, etc..

        General rule of thumb:

        Dogs and Unders = Sharp

        Chalk and Overs = Public

Fading players talk is also a good general rule.

I'd be willing to bet that there are less than 10 people on the planet that hit 60% against -110 long term. There probably isn't any in fact. But lets assume that there are a handful of psychics/geniuses that do hit 60%. Wouldn't they make more money if they made more bets and won a lower percentage?

John.....you probably realize if anyone hits 60 percent they could own the world. I've always used that argument against these 'psychics'. If they were so psychic many would hit at least 60 percent of their wagers. The normal person can hit 50-54 percent. A psychic could surely hit 6/10 bets and become the richest person in the world - if they had any true psychic insight.
